There are three ways to do screen capture in Mac OS X.

• Capture entire screen
  • Switch to the screen that you wan to to do screen capture
  • Press Apple key ⌘ + Shift + 3
• Capture a portion of a screen
  • Switch to the screen that you wan to to do screen capture
  • Press Apple key ⌘ + Shift + 4 and the mouse cursor will change to +
  • Drag mouse cursor to select the portion needed to capture.
• Capture for a particular application window
  • Press Apple key ⌘ + Shift + 4 and the mouse cursor will change to +
  • Press the space bar once and the mouse cursor change to a camera
  • Switch (Apple key ⌘ + Tab) and select which application window to screen capture

All the screen capture pictures will be place in your desktop.
