Truphone today introduced full two-way instant messaging over MSN Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger and Google Talk on the iPod touch™ and also announced that availability on the iPhone would begin the week of Jan. 12.

Twitter ha cambiato la grafica oggi. Anche Friendfeed l’ha fatto. Solo che mentre per quanto riguarda Friendfeed era una cosa risaputa, visto che già si era a conoscenza di come sarebbe stata per il semplice motivo che aveva permesso, a chi lo volesse (prendendo spunto da Faceiook), di utilizzare la nuova interfaccia grafica da un indirizzo apposito per un mesetto prima del suo rilascio ufficiale, per Twitter si tratta di una cosa completamente nuova ed inaspettata.

Tuttavia, almeno dal sottoscritto, anche molto apprezzata. I cambiamenti evidenti, almeno per quel poco che ho potuto constatare, credo siano due:

I first met Fausto Fernós & Marc Felion of the Feast of Fools at the second podcast expo where I briefly said hi. I was very much in the closet at the time so I didn’t want people to see me talking with them. How ironic that I would be outed to some of my best friends at the time, Dawn and Drew, during that trip.

I am getting ready to fly out to the New Media Expo (formerly the Podcast expo, and about 3 other names which everyone will be saying. You will be seeing a lot of tweets about different meetups, dinners, lunches, events, and parties if you follow me on Twitter over the next few days, as well as some cool info about people I meet out there.

This is my 4th year, and the conferences 4th as well. It sort of became a bit too corporate last year, but I think Vegas will bring the life back into the attendees.

I don’t know if there is an AA for text messagers, but if there were I would be a member. I’ve gone so far as to cancel my voice service on my phone, and have unlimited 3G data and unlimited SMS messages (don’t ask how) for $50/month.

If you want to contact me there are many ways to do so. Texting is the preferred method, but if you don’t have my number you can send me a direct message via Twitter and I get it as a text message. Heck you can even do Twitter via SMS by sending your updates, direct messages, and replies to 40404 (in the US only).

Eh, si, cosa ci volete fare: sono fissato con Twitter! Ma daltronde questa vignetta è divertentissima.

Okay, as you all very well know I am a fan of Twitter, the 140 character micro-blogging platform. I also am a fan of the iPhone. Well until now I have been using Twitter via SMS and getting about 1,000 people’s updates via text message….that is until today.

I admit, I have dropped the ball quite a bit in terms of blogging and keeping up with updates on here. I am pretty occupied these days with work and trying to make it out here in the San Francisco area. In doing so, I haven’t really been keeping up that much with friend requests, etc from all of the various social media sites out there.
